Len Khodorkovsky
Nonresident Senior Fellow
Len Khodorkovsky is a nonresident senior fellow with the N7 Initiative at the Atlantic Council’s Middle East Programs. He is a former deputy assistant secretary of state for digital strategy and senior advisor to both the US special representative for Iran and the undersecretary of state for economic growth, energy, and the environment. He is now the senior advisor to the chairman of the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue University.
Described by the Jerusalem Post as “the State Department’s secret weapon,” Khodorkovsky has written extensively on the intersection of technology, business, media, and national security, and he frequently appears as a foreign policy analyst on global news programs.
Khodorkovsky is also the co-founder of Yalla, an Arabic language news platform focused on factual content about the Middle East and North Africa. Arab News praised Yalla as “the light that shines through the darkness.”
Khodorkovsky began his career in advertising, marketing, and public affairs. During his twenty-five years as an executive in the communications field, he led high-stakes US and international campaigns for Fortune 100 companies.
